Patience Wa Mokwadi

Patience Molapisi Wa Mokwadi, is a celebrated Botswana writer, storyteller, activist and public servant. She is the author of several books, including Kgang tsa Lefifi, Thokolosi ya ga Matsale, Matlhola a Di Bona and Mofokodi. Her work and voice have been featured across BTV, RB1, RB2, Yarona FM, Duma FM, Gabz FM and South Africa’s Star FM. She is a Citizen Journalist Award winner at the 2024 Adolescent Activism Awards and has received nominations at the Botswana Women’s Awards, African Writers Tribe Awards and Botswana Annual Glitz Awards in 2025. Passionate about social justice and GBV prevention, she uses literature and grassroots activism to educate, empower and inspire communities.
